Areas next to the rivers have been washed away and people are taking shelter in Schools throughout the area. - Kabal and Matta areas are completely cut off with the exception of dangerous link across the river by boat. - Kalam Road is cut off at Madyan and Kalam is only accessible via helicopter or by foot. - In Mingora, Some aid is being distributed by UNHCR but probably owing to small quantity and greater demand the general impression is that its not being distributed fairly. - One particular school in Haji Baba, Mingora is reported to have 55 people and is only getting PKR 2000 per day for food. - Incidence of diseases particularly amongst children is reported with eye diseases being very common.
